Our Earth Day project is going very well. So far we have recycling bins in each hall way of the school. The first plan of the project was just for our class then simultaneously  the whole school heard about it and wanted to join in on the good doing of the Earth . Therefore we are now having a school wide recycling project/competition.  The winning grade level will get a pizza party and 15 extra minutes of Friday fun time.

Our School-Wide Recycling Project will be going on April 1st- April 21st of 2017.

Make sure your students bring in recyclable goods such as:
**It will be great if the student brings in the items but they we also can be dropped off in the front office with the grade level on there.**

    • Old worksheets
    • old take home papers
  • Plastic
    • Bottles
    • Containers that are marked recyclable
  • Metal
    • Soda cans
    • Soup cans
    • Vegetable cans
    • Aluminum Foil
  • Cartons
    • Milk and Juice cartons
    • Cardboard
    • Soda Carrying Cases

All About Ms.Grider

Hello my name is De'Siona Grider. I am second grade teacher at YourFavorite Elementary school. I am from Lower Alabama and I graduated from high school from Carroll High School. Before graduating from high school I graduated from Wallace Community College with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. After my graduations I headed off to college at The University of South Alabama with a major in Elementary Education. I graduated from South Alabama May of 2019. Being a teacher is a life changing career. You get to sculpt the minds of young children and change their life in a wonderful way. Therefore I am so excited for this school year and teaching your students . This year we will cover many topics starting from telling time and ending with Earth Day.
